From months behind to current books, in an afternoon

1

Connect

Link your bank through Plaid and connect QuickBooks Online. Five minutes, read-only, credentials never touch our servers.

2

Catch up

Bookzy pulls up to 24 months of history, cleans merchant names, and categorizes everything against your own chart of accounts.

3

Review what matters

Only the calls the AI was genuinely unsure about reach you — a keyboard-first queue most owners clear in minutes, not weekends. Bookzy also watches for possible duplicates and expected bills that never arrived.

4

Hand off

Reconciled, explainable books flow to QuickBooks continuously. Close the month with one click and send your CPA the package.

Bookzy waving hello

Your AI bookkeeper

Meet Bookzy — the bookkeeper who never clocks out

Bookzy is not a chat widget bolted onto accounting software. The character in the corner of your dashboard is the automation itself — click it any time to see exactly what it has been doing for your books, ask it anything, or take over where your judgment matters.

Always on duty

Bookzy lives in the corner of every page. One click opens its work log — everything it has done for you, on a permanent record nobody can rewrite.

Works while you sleep

New transactions sync in overnight, get cleaned up, and are categorized against your chart of accounts — before you open your laptop.

Never guesses

Anything Bookzy is not sure about goes to your review queue with its reasoning attached. You decide; it learns your call for next time.

Gets the month closed

When every account ties to the bank to the cent, Bookzy locks the month and prepares a close package your accountant can verify line by line.

Every action Bookzy takes is written to an append-only audit trail — attributed, time-stamped, and permanent — so your accountant never has to take a mascot’s word for anything.

Bookzy reviewing the ledger

New — Bookzy Ledger

Your whole ledger. Ten dollars a month.

For holding companies, rentals, side businesses, and anyone coming off a spreadsheet: Bookzy Ledger makes Bookzy the books of record. A real double-entry general ledger — chart of accounts, journal entries, the works — lives inside Bookzy, with the AI bookkeeper working it. And you don’t need an accountant relationship to buy it: other $10 ledger products are sold only through accountants, while Bookzy Ledger is sold direct to owners.

Real statements

P&L, balance sheet, trial balance, and general ledger detail — computed from your own double-entry books, exportable as CSV any time.

The same never-guess AI

Bank feeds flow in through Plaid and every transaction is categorized with its reasoning attached. Anything uncertain waits in your review queue.

Close with confidence

Anchored bank reconciliation, a month close that locks the period, and a year-end package your CPA can file from.

1099 tracking built in

Contractor payments are totaled all year against the current reporting threshold — $2,000 for 2026 payments — so the numbers are ready at year end.

No invoicing, no payments processing, no sales-tax engine — and payroll is not included. This tier is pure, perfect books for companies that don’t need more. Growing businesses connect QuickBooks Online instead.

A bookkeeper’s judgment. A machine’s consistency.

Bookzy runs on one rule: never guess. High-confidence work happens automatically; everything else comes to you with the evidence attached.

AI that shows its work

Every category carries its reasoning and a confidence score. Uncertain items go to review — never guessed, never buried in Miscellaneous.

Reconciliation that explains itself

Every month is checked against bank-reported balances. Differences are explained — excluded personal spend, removed transactions — or flagged, never smoothed over.

An audit trail that cannot be rewritten

Every action, human or AI, lands in an append-only log enforced at the database layer. Corrections add entries; nothing is ever silently erased.

A cash outlook, not a rearview mirror

Bookzy projects your cash 30, 60, and 90 days out from your real recurring patterns — rent, payroll, subscriptions — including runway at current burn. Upcoming charges are predicted, and flagged when they run late.

Year-end without the scramble

Contractor payments are totaled all year against the $2,000 1099 reporting threshold for 2026, and one click prints a year-end package — the numbers organized and explained, ready for your CPA to file from.

Built so your CPA never has to take your word for it.

It never touches your money

Read-only bank access through Plaid. Bookzy writes accounting entries — it cannot pay, transfer, or withdraw anything. It prepares your books; it never files taxes.

Every entry carries its reasoning

Which rule fired, which past decisions matched, how confident the model was. Your accountant can audit the why behind any line without asking you.

Corrections, not cover-ups

The audit log is append-only, enforced by database permissions — the application physically cannot rewrite history. Removed transactions are voided with a reason, never deleted.

Common questions

Does Bookzy replace my accountant?

No. Bookzy replaces the day-to-day bookkeeping work — categorizing, reconciling, keeping QuickBooks current. Your CPA still files your taxes; they just start from clean, explained books instead of a shoebox.

Can Bookzy move my money?

No. Bank access is read-only through Plaid, and Bookzy writes accounting entries, not payments. It cannot initiate a transfer of any kind, by design.

What happens when the AI is not sure?

It stops. Anything below the confidence threshold waits in your review queue with its reasoning shown. Nothing uncertain is posted, and anything posted can be undone with one click.

Which banks are supported?

Over 12,000 US banks and card issuers through Plaid. For anything Plaid cannot reach, import statements by CSV — imported transactions run through the same AI categorization.

Can Bookzy help with 1099s?

It does the tracking. Bookzy totals what you have paid each contractor across the year and shows who has crossed the IRS reporting threshold — $2,000 for 2026 payments — so the numbers are ready for your CPA at year end. Your CPA still prepares and files the forms — Bookzy never files anything.

Does Bookzy do budgets and forecasts?

Yes. Set a monthly budget per category and Bookzy tracks actual spend against it live, straight from your books. It also projects cash 30, 60, and 90 days out from your recurring patterns, including runway. Every forecast is labeled an estimate — a projection from your history, not a guarantee.

What is the books health check?

Six read-only integrity checks that Bookzy runs across your books, looking for the ways records quietly drift out of shape. The check reports what it finds and never edits an entry — nothing in your books changes when it runs. Anything flagged comes with what to look at, so issues surface before your CPA finds them.

What is Bookzy Ledger?

A $10-a-month plan where Bookzy itself becomes the books of record — no QuickBooks required. Your company gets a real double-entry general ledger inside Bookzy: chart of accounts, journal entries, trial balance, P&L, and balance sheet, with the same AI bookkeeper categorizing, reconciling, and closing the months. It is built for small companies without payroll — holding companies, rentals, side businesses, entities coming off spreadsheets. The first company file is included; each additional company is $10 a month. Payroll is not included, and neither are invoicing, payments, or a sales-tax engine.

Can my accountant use Bookzy Ledger with me?

Yes — invite them free. Unlike accountant-only ledger products, the business owns the subscription and the books: your accountant works alongside you in the same ledger, and you can export everything — accounts, entries, statements — any time.

What happens to my data if I leave?

Your books already live in your QuickBooks file, and you can export every transaction as CSV at any time. Disconnecting revokes our access.

Your books, current by tonight.

Connect your accounts, let the catch-up run, and judge the result yourself — every transaction categorized, explained, and reversible.

Bookzy prepares your books. It never files taxes and never moves money.
